Camp Hill Education has a prevent risk assessment designed to support our school’s policy and practice around the Prevent Duty. It is imperative that colleagues in our school understand that Prevent sits firmly within safeguarding, just like any other safeguarding issue. We take full responsibility to comply with the statutory guidance as stated within the Prevent Duty.
Our prevent lead and SPOC is Irfan Ahmed.
We will create a safe space in which pupils can understand and discuss sensitive topics, including terrorism and the extremist ideas that are part of terrorist ideology, and learn how to challenge these ideas.
We also have a comprehensive prevent plan which highlights how the prevent duty will a focus throughout the school curriculum.
